Medical marijuana patients, advocates and reformers just got a powerful new celebrity ally. 

Justin Bieber is the latest pop culture icon lending his mega star power to the medical marijuana advocacy fight.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Oct. 2, the singer expressed criticism toward the pharmaceutical industry for trying to block comprehensive medical cannabis research and policy reform, Huffington Post reports.

The tweet links to an attn: video that dives into various ways pharmaceutical companies have been fighting to block medical cannabis reform in the United States.

“This is important,” Bieber tweeted to his 88.6 million followers. “I’m going to be talking more about this.”

And when Justin Bieber speaks, literally millions of people are listening.
