‘SNL’ host Margot Robbie killed it in this marijuana-patterned dress

Australian actress Margot Robbie hosted the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” on October 1 wearing a uniquely patterned dress that garnered almost as much buzz as her humorous opening sketch.

The star delivered her opening monologue wearing a sheer black dress that featured a not-so-subtle golden marijuana leaf pattern.

With the U.S. presidential election just around the corner and marijuana legalization an increasingly hot political topic, perhaps the dress was Robbie’s own fashionable commentary on American drug policy. Or maybe she just thought it looked fun and a bit silly — perfect for hosting a satirical comedy sketch show.

Either way, Robbie looked classy and refined wearing that weed-leaf dress. And after a few embarrassing days in the Gary Johnson-fiasco spotlight last week, Robbie provided some of the best PR that America’s favorite illicit plant could have hoped for on a Saturday night.
